Police commissioner : Site of origin, cause of fire not yet clear

Police Commissioner Dudi Cohen said that the Carmel fire originated at one site, but noted that currently it is unclear whether its cause was negligence or arson. An estimation on the matter will be given in the upcoming hours or on Saturday, he said.

Cohen said that the fire is yet to be contained, and noted that there are a few different sites still ablaze. "We might be able to say that the fire is under control tomorrow afternoon," he said during a press conference Friday. (Ahiya Raved)
