Police raise alert, fear additional arsons

Police raised the alert level following a wave of arsons that took place during the day in the north, as well as in the south and in the Tayibe area in central Israeli.

Police officials estimated that the arsonists are attempting to prevent security forces from focusing on containing the Carmel fire. Police Commissioner Dudi Cohen instructed police commanders to track the activity of suspicious individuals in the areas where fires were started. (Eli Senyor)
