US to send fire extinguishing experts, chemicals
The United States government will send Israel three experts to assist in efforts to extinguish the massive fire which is raging in the Carmel as well as fire extinguishing materials. The White House said that Israel will receive 45 tons of chemicals and 12,000 liters of fire extinguishing foam.
National Security Council official Dan Shapiro told White House reporters Friday that the US administration is working to locate additional fire extinguishing planes to be used to put our fires in Europe and the Middle East. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
