PM appeals to Switzerland for aid
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has appealed to Swiss President Doris Leuthard, and requested her to dispatch fire extinguishing airplanes to help contain the fire in the Carmel mountain range.
The Prime Minister's Office reported that Netanyahu also appealed for the help of Russia, Germany, Turkey, Britain, Norway, Greece, Cyprus, Spain and Bulgaria. (Attila Somfalvi)
