2 arrested on suspicion of negligence leading to Carmel blaze
Two brothers, residents of Ussifiya, have been arrested on suspicion of negligence which led to the blaze raging in the Carmel region during the last three days. Police chief for the coastal region, Deputy Inspector General Roni Atiya, updated reporters during a press conference, saying the investigation team continues its work and has made enormous efforts in recent days.
The main investigation efforts, he said, have been directed towards the Carmel towns of Nir Etzion, Ein Hod and the Yamin-Ord school, and residents have been requested not to return to their homes at this stage. (Roni Sofer and Yair Altman)
