Russia's Medvedev sends condolences to families of blaze victims
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev sent his Israeli counterpart Shimon Peres a message expressing his condolences to the families of those who died in the Carmel Forest wildfires. "I have been told that to my sorrow many died in the forest fires in the Haifa region," the message said. "I ask you to send my condolences to the families who lost their loved ones."
He added that in response to requests from the government in Jerusalem, experts are now on their way to Israel along with firefighting aircraft. (Ronen Medzini)
