Yishai: I did a lot after years of no budget
Interior Minister Eli Yishai, whose ministry is responsible for firefighting services, said that even if the fire services were completely prepared for the fires that have raged on the Mount Carmel range for the last three days, it wouldn't have been enough to prevent the disaster.
"I think I have done a lot, and after years with no budget," he said during an interview with Channel 2. "I have been interior minister for less than two years." He added that an investigation committee would be set up to thoroughly investigate the wildfires. (Ynet)
