Police say six people have been arrested in Greece for allegedly taking part in terrorist activities. Police also confirmed the related capture of a large number of weapons, ammunition and explosives in the operation that took place Saturday night.
Greek police chief Lefteris Oikonomou says the five men and one woman, aged 21 to 31, were arrested in five separate police operations in the Athens area and on the island of Crete. In naming all six suspects, Oikonomou said two are members of the Greek radical anarchist group Conspiracy Nuclei of Fire, which has claimed responsibility for parcel bombings in Greece.
