Obama covers N.Korea, Iran in call with China's Hu

US President Barack Obama called Chinese President Hu Jintao on Sunday night to discuss peace on the Korean Peninsula after North Korea shelled a South Korean island last month, the White House said in a statement.

Obama urged China to work with the United States and others to "send a clear message to North Korea that its provocations are unacceptable," the White House said. Obama also discussed Iran with Hu, the statement said. (Reuters)
