Horowitz calls for resignation of Interior Minister Eli Yishai

MK Nitzan Horowitz (Meretz) called on Interior Minister Eli Yishai to resign over his responsibility for the failures that surfaced during the struggle against the Carmel wildfires.

During a special Knesset plenum on the issue, Horowitz called for a national investigation committee to be set up, which would be an application of the democratic right to an in-depth investigation into personal responsibility for the events. (Roni Sofer)
