Physicians for Human Rights receives 'alternative Nobel' prize

President Physicians for Human Rights group, Dr. Ruchama Marton, received the Right Livelihood Award in Stockholm on Monday.

 

The award, also dubbed the "alternative Nobels," was given to the organization for offering medical services to underprivileged Israelis and Palestinians. The prize was awarded to three other organizations, which will split the grand prize of €200,000 (about $267,000). (Meital Yasur-Beit Or)
