PM asks Yishai to drop demand for inquiry commission
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Interior Minister Eli Yishai Monday and asked him to look into an alternative method of probing the Carmel fire disaster over a state commission of inquiry. So far Yishai had not changed his mind and continues to insist on an inquiry committee.
Earlier on Monday, Netanyahu stressed that such a committee will be less than beneficial and proposed focusing on the present situation and fixing it. (Roni Sofer)
