State comptroller: Firefighting system in danger
In a scathing report on the situation of Israel's firefighting system, State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss points to "irregular management, especially among decision makers in the Israeli government."
The comptroller says there has been no improvement in the firefighting system since the previous report which was authored following the Second Lebanon War, and that the situation has even worsened "and could lead to a collapse in times of emergency." (Yaron Druckman)
