PM: National firefighting service proposal within 10 days
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised emergency forces for their efforts in Carmel fire, saying they "managed the situation calmly and intelligently. That's what you'd expect from a commander in the field."
In his speech at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya, the prime minster said he "will present the national firefighting service proposal within ten days, which will include regular fire fighting. Within that timeframe, my IDF secretary will present a proposal to establish an aerial firefighting service. These two things will upgrade Israel's firefighting services." (Boaz Fyler)
