Former Knesset Speaker Dov Shilansky dies

Dov Shilansky, who has served as Knesset speaker between 1988-1992, died Thursday at the age of 86.

He served as a Knesset member for Likud between 1977-1996. He has also served as deputy minister at the Prime Minister's Office during the second Begin administration and the first Shamir administration. His funeral is set to take place Friday at the Kiryat Shaul Cemetery.
