France welcomes Gaza blockade easements

France announced it welcomes Israel's decision to boost exports from the Gaza Strip but called on the Netanyahu administration to ease conditions further. Such a decision will contribute to the Gaza private sector's growth, a French foreign ministry statement said.

It stressed that France expects Israel to allow the export of all goods manufactured in Gaza. The French foreign ministry further noted that France continues to call for an end of the blockade which it says has proven inefficient. (AFP)
