Court to Labor Party: Hold elections for JNF head

Petah Tikvah District Court instructed the Labor Party to convene the party office within a week to decide on a date for elections for the head of the Jewish National Fund. The court responded to a suit submitted by 110 party members, who demanded that Labor Chairman Ehud Barak refrain from appointing Minister Shalom Simhon to the post as part of a political deal.
