Gates: Gulf states share US view on danger of Iranian nuclear program

Gulf states share the US view on the threat posed by Iran's nuclear program and support a focused approach on sanctions against Tehran, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said.

Gates visited the UAE and Oman this week after the publication of diplomatic cables by Wikileaks showed that the leaders of Gulf countries are concerned about Iran's nuclear work and its growing influence in the region, some calling on Washington to intervene militarily. (AFP)
