Officials: 4 militants killed in NW Pakistan

Pakistani officials say security forces have killed four militants in a tribal region along the Afghan border. One security and an intelligence official said Saturday that three insurgents were also wounded in the overnight gunbattle in Mohmand.

They say the troops retaliated after insurgents attacked a security checkpoint in the Sagi village area. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to media on the record. (AP)
