Lieberman: No understandings on conversion issue
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman clarified at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting that "there are no quiet understandings with Shas on the military conversion issue, which was slated to be discussed during the meeting.
"Shas' demand has nothing to do with religion or Jewish Law, but with a desire to control the army as well," he said. (Ronen Medzini)
