Soldier who stole IDF chief's credit card gets 10 years in jail
Corporal Louis Mascotta, who was convicted of aggravated robbery, stealing two rifles and the details of IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi's credit card, has been convicted to 10 years in prison.
"We found it difficult to accept his claim that his actions were the result of threats," said the judges, noting that Mascotta "trampled on rules of ethics and conduct and seriously hurt an IDF soldier in order to steal his weapon." (Hanan Greenberg)
