Netanyahu, Shas ministers reach agreement over IDF conversions

The government did not vote Sunday on the IDF conversion issue following an agreement between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Shas Ministers Eli Yishai and Ariel Atias. This means that even if the Yisrael Beiteinu party were to raise the conversions bill before the Knesset on Wednesday, the coalition would be obligated to vote against it as Shas hasn't removed its objection.

Next week the Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar is expected to deliver his decision on the validity of the IDF conversions (Attila Somfalvi)
