The Israel Prison Service has submitted a request with the Administrative Court in Petah Tikva to extend the solitary confinement conditions of Yigal Amir, Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin's murderer, by an additional half a year.
The IPS said in its appeal that the separation was required to maintain the State's security, the security of other prisoners and the security of Amir himself. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
