Livni: Those responsible for Carmel disaster must resign

Opposition Chairwoman Tzipi Livni said the Knesset's State Control Committee discussions on the Carmel fire disaster "prove that those responsible for the failure are trying to avoid a state commission of inquiry, which may – God forbid – determine who is responsible.
"Had we determined in advance the distribution of responsibility in the State of Israel we might have become a regular country where those who are responsible pay with their positions when such a catastrophe happens," she said. (Ahiya Raved)
