Police have shut down a shop selling medical marijuana in Tel Aviv on suspicion it has been providing customers with larger doses than their prescriptions recommend.
After gathering evidence, police sent an undercover officer into the store with prescriptions for 50g of the drug. Time after time, the officer succeeded in purchasing more than was prescribed for her.
Two officers raided the store Wednesday after a three-month sting operation investigating why medical marijuana was being leaked onto the streets.

Police now suspect that customers who succeeded in buying more than their share of the superb product were selling the remainder for profit.
A man and a woman in their 30s were arrested during the raid, which was coordinated with the Health Ministry.
"It's no secret that because of the dry market, criminal elements are taking advantage of the situation and turning to these shops to get marijuana," one officer said. Police stressed that patients will still be able to purchase the drug at different locations.
