Hamas: European inititiave for Shalit release failed

An initiative by several European states to promote negotiations between Israel and Hamas for the release of kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit recently failed – claimed Hamas politburo member Osama al-Mazini. London-based Al-Quds newspaper published that al-Mazini said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was interested in "lowering Hamas' demands threshold", but that the group's condition for following through with the release is the fulfillment of all its demands.
