Al-sharq Al-Awsat: Abbas estimates Ecuador to recognize Palestine

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas estimated Ecuador will be the fourth South American country to recognize a Palestinian State according to 1967 borders, following Brazil, Argentina and Bolivia, as reported in UK newspaper Al-sharq Al-Awsat.

It was also reported that the Palestinian National Authority intends to approach the UN Security Council within the next few weeks in order to denigrate Israeli settlement construction and request to put an end to it. (Roee Nahmias)
