Carmel fire death toll rises to 44

Fireman Danny Hayat, 35, who suffered from burns over most of his body in Carmel blaze, has died in Rambam Hospital on Saturday. Hayat, who served as the Northern Rescue Unit Chief as well as in Maccabi Afula-Yizre'el, is mourned by his pregnant wife and two children.

Over ten days ago, Sara Netanyahu, the wife of the prime minister, raised over $41,000 for Hayat's artificial skin grafts. (Ahiya Raved)
