New NIS notes: Begin, Rabin, Agnon and Rachel the Poet

The Governor of the Bank of Israel announced on Sunday that the images that would appear on the new NIS notes would be those of Former Prime Ministers Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Rabin, writer and Nobel Prize laureate S. Y. Agnon and Poet Rachel. The bank announced that this way two aspects of Israeli history would be represented – the political and the cultural.
The Bank of Israel intends to issue the new series of notes from 2012 on the 20, 50, 100 and 200 bills. (Ynet)
