Minister Braverman: Haredi allowances – damage for generations to come
None
The Minister for Minority Affairs Avishay Braverman announced at Sunday's government meeting that he would oppose any proposals raised over the assurance of income for haredi yeshiva students: "This is political prostitution. The haredis must be brought into the workforce and this isn't the decision that will make it happen."
"We have no leadership, certainly no courageous leadership", the minister added. "The decision would perpetuate poverty and would cause damage for generations to come". (Ronen Medzini)
