Israel has taken 49th place out of 64 OECD countries in the computer to student ratio – initial data received from the National Authority for Educational Evaluation reveals.
According to data included in the Knesset's Research and Information Center's paper, the Israeli ratio between the average number of students in a classroom to computers is 0.37, similar to countries like Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Panama and Albania. A much higher ration was seen in the other countries that took part in the study, including New Zealand (1.16), Australia (1.02), US (0.91) and Germany (0.60). (Tomer Velmer)
