Defense establishment demands additional NIS 6BLN

The Defense establishment has demanded that the defense budget be increased by NIS 3 billion ($836 million) in their annual budget over the ext two years – a total increase of NIS 6 billion ($1.672 billion) in the bi-annual 2011-12 budget.
The demand exceeds the amount approved by the government for the defense budget by NIS 53 billion ($14.77 billion) per year, including US aid. (Zvi Lavi)
