IDF demands NIS 6 BLN – committee won't vote on budget

The Knesset Finance Committee won't be voting on the State Budget Tuesday, due to problems arising from the defense establishment's sudden demand for an additional NIS 6 billion ($1.66 billion) for the next two years.
Committee Chairman MK Moshe Gafni announced that based on the Knesset's Legal Council recommendations, the Finance Committee couldn't approve the defense budget in its proposed condition until it is first approved at a Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee and Finance Committee joint budget committee meeting.
