The Finance Ministry's proposal to cut child benefits was removed from the Arrangements Act and will not be included in the next bi-annual budget. Finance Committee Chairman Moshe Gafni, removed the clause Tuesday and said that "this hurts families basic and essential needs". (Zvi Lavi)
