Montenegro's Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, the longest serving leader in the Balkans, has resigned.
Djukanovic said Tuesday he is stepping down because he has fulfilled his task to bring Montenegro closer to the European Union and NATO membership. "I have been in power for 20 years," Djukanovic told a press conference. "The conditions have been created for me to step down." (AP)
