Vandals target Pole working on Jewish remembrance

None

The head of a Polish group devoted to Jewish remembrance says his home was attacked with bricks painted with swastikas.

Tomasz Pietrasiewicz, director of a cultural institution in the eastern Polish city of Lublin, says he was sleeping when bricks and small explosives were thrown at his house Friday night, shattering windows and causing minor damage. He said he was in a different part of his home and was not hurt, and that police have not yet identified the perpetrators. He said Wednesday that right-wing radicals likely attacked him for his remembrance work. (AP)
