Minister for Minority Affairs Avishay Braverman threatened to quit his government role on Wednesday if the Labor party won't demand renewal of talks with the Palestinians within a month.
"We must present a month's ultimatum to the prime minister: Direct negotiations or withdrawal from the coalition," Braverman said in a meeting with students in Jerusalem. He added that: "If my offer is not accepted, I will resign from the government and fight from the opposition lines in order to establish a new Labor party. Either we save the party now, or we join Kadima". (Attila Somfalvi)
