Netanyahu to send Pollard pardon request letter next week

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to send a letter requesting that the US president pardon Jonathan Pollard at the beginning of next week. Sources within the Prime Minister's Office said Thursday that "by Sunday or Monday", the letter would be ready and would be sent to President Barack Obama."
Last week Netanyahu promised that he would make an official appeal to the US president and request the release of the Jewish spy who has been in prison in the US for 25 years. (Attila Somfalvi)
