Bomb kills 2 in east Afghanistan
A roadside bomb killed an Afghan army soldier and a passer-by in the country's east on Friday, local police said, while in Kabul, authorities were investigating what they said was an overnight raid by NATO troops on a private security company compound that killed two Afghan guards.
In eastern Khost province, the roadside bomb detonated when the army vehicle drove by, killing the car's driver and a passing rickshaw driver, said provincial chief of police Abdul Hakim Esaqzai. He said the blast also wounded another Afghan soldier. (AP)
