IDF Chief of Staff: Risking lives to bring Shalit home

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi visited a Jerusalem high school together with Mayor Nir Barkat on Sunday, meeting hundreds of students. The Jerusalem Student Council chairman greeted him with a gift and thanked him for his contribution to Israel's security.

When asked whether Israel is doing enough to return captured soldier Gilad Shalit back home, Ashkenazi answered: "Whatever we do it will never be enough until Gilad returns home safe and sound. However, I can tell you there are things the IDF is doing that we don't talk about. We risk people's lives to bring Gilad home." (Boaz Fyler)
