Lieberman: Comprehensive agreement with Palestinians impossible

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman met with Israeli ambassadors around the world on Sunday and told them that he predicts "a comprehensive agreement can't be reached. That means solving all issues of security, territory and signing a document agreeing to end the conflict and make no further claims." He added: "I think such a thing is impossible under the existing circumstances, so we must go for a long-term intermediate agreement."

Lieberman said that "this is only model which will allow us to cooperate with the Palestinians regarding two important fields - security and economics, and allow us to postpone the political decision regarding Jerusalem borders and refuges to a later stage." (Boaz Fyler)
