Additional NIS 420M for defense at housing benefits expense
The Finance Ministry is looking to allocate an additional NIS 420 million ($118 million) to the current defense budget at the expense of the Housing Ministry's housing benefits. At the end of deliberations Monday, the Finance Committee decided that the sum would be transferred to the Defense Ministry from the Housing Ministry's current budget surplus - from the Mortgage clause.
