J'lem councilmen file complaint againt Mayor Nir Barkat
Jerusalem Municipality Meretz Faction Chairman Yosef Alalu and Opposition Councilman Meir Turgeman, of the Lma'an Yerushalem party, filed a complaint at the police against Mayor Nir Barkat following the delayed evacuation and sealing of Beit Yehonatan.
According to the two, Barkat was not following the courts' ruling on Beit Yehonatan. "Nir Barkat signs demolition orders for houses in east Jerusalem, while bluntly violating the law in regards to Beit Yehonatan, which is in contempt of the court," Turgeman told Ynet. (Ronen Medzini)
