IDF chief: Army prepared for any scenario in south
IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi says the army is prepared for any possible scenario following the recent escalation in Gaza.
During a meeting with Italian Chief of Staff General Vincenzo Camporini, who is visiting Israel, Ashkenazi said that "two years after Operation Cast Lead the security-related reality in the Strip is different and calmer, but unfortunately missiles are fired from time to time at Israel's citizens and we cannot accept it."
