Knesset rejects Kadima's request to add funds to firefighters
The Knesset plenum rejected – at a majority of 60 to 39 - a request submitted by the Kadima faction to include additional funds for the firefighting services in the state budget.
The Prime Minister's Office said in response that an addition of hundreds of millions of shekels for upgrading the firefighting services would be brought to the government's approval within nine days. (Roni Sofer and Attila Somfalvi)
