Putin says pre-vote government changes unwanted

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that he would prefer if the government is left intact until the country's 2012 presidential election.

Changing the government's makeup before the vote "is not desirable," Putin told reporters. "We may do it or we may not do it. It is better to be done after the presidential election, when the new government will be formed." (Reuters)
