Katsav defense team considering appeal
Attorney Avi Lavi, the head of former President Katsav's defense team hinted that Katsav's legal team was considering an appeal over the Tel Aviv District Court conviction Thursday. "There is still a long way to go and we have the strength to take this all the way to Jerusalem," said Lavi. He criticized the verdict: "The court didn't find it right to doubt and preferred the complainant's version of events while completely ignoring the problems with the evidence as presented by the defendant.
