Khodorkovsky sentenced to 14 years in prison

A Russian judge has sentenced jailed Russian oil tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky to 14 years in prison following a trial seen as payback for his defiance of Vladimir Putin's power.

The judge said there was no basis for a suspended sentence for jailed ex-oil tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky, indicating he would be sentenced to additional prison time, on top of his current eight year term. (AP and Reuters)
