Internal Security Minister appoints Ganot as ministry director

Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch appointed Yaakov Ganot as the director of his ministry.

Internal Security Ministry officials mentioned this decision was made after Aharonovitch discussed the issue with Attorney General of Israel Yehuda Weinstein, who said there is no legal hindrance preventing the appointment of Ganot as the director of the ministry, despite the fact he was acquitted due to failure to prove him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a bribery affair back in the 1990's.
