Livni in interview to Turkish paper: Ankara must choose a side
In an interview to Turkish newspaper Habertürk, Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni said Friday that: "Ankara must choose a side". Livni said that the region was divided into two camps, one which included Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah: "Supporting this camp doesn't serve to promote peace. There is no reason for Turkey to support that camp."
Livni addressed the events surrounding the Gaza flotilla and made it clear that the IDF soldiers acted from self defense. She added: "I hope relations between Israel and Turkey will once again be what they were in the past." (Attila Somfalvi)
